Athena always creates a story within each of her wood-burning projects. This wood-burn tells a story of two backcountry skiers who had an epic day on the mountain. Their tracks are seen as a figure-8 cutting through the center of the mountain. Athena used clay snow on this piece as well, in order to give it texture. She weaved the Big Dipper into the night sky, and included a crescent moon.
